MANUFACTURING & MACHINING
Unlike some companies in our industry, HDS manufactures the products that we sell. We have our own 72,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, fully equipped with some of the latest automation technology. HDS has CNC machining equipment usually found in dedicated machine shops, allowing us to manufacture all of our door hardware in house. Our fully integrated manufacturing process ensures build quality that meets our exacting standards.

Machine shop is equipped with new CNC lathes and mills, as well as multiple shears and presses.
All framing is made with 1/4″ minimum thickness standard domestic steel for the strongest and most efficient construction possible.
Motor operator drive systems and electrical control systems provide acceleration and torque controls for consistent and dependable operation.
Each electrical control panel and push button control station is assembled and tested for correct operation prior to shipping.

REBURBISHMENT & REPLACEMENT
HDS has extensive experience in extending the service life of aging door systems. Refurbishment services can range from relatively minor hardware replacement to a complete overhaul where only the basic door structure is reused. HDS’s full service fabrication and machine capabilities give us the unique ability to replicate any necessary door hardware or component. If an existing door system is deteriorated beyond practicable repair or if it no longer satisfies the service requirements of the building, HDS can design, manufacture, and install a complete new door system to merge seamlessly with the existing building.
HDS can whip existing hangar and blast doors into shape, refurbishing them into better-than-new, updated conditions worthy of the glorious pieces of engineering they house.

HISTORICAL PRESERVATION & RENOVATION
HDS has been entrusted to provide repair components or complete door systems that were used to preserve historically significant hangars for the United States Department of Defense. HDS can reproduce replacement hardware that maintains the look and feel of the original historical component. HDS can also manufacture new door systems that maintain the period appearance, while satisfying current engineering criteria. HDS has a proven record of satisfying exacting State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO) requirements.

HDS has extensive experience getting our products to the jobsite, whether the jobsite is across town or across the globe.
